Why Shop with me?

Well..... with each purchase I literally do a yippee dance. Why ? With each purchase i get to invest right back into more tools whether is it physical or knowledge. With more tools I expand even more and the ideas get bigger. I am local and it’s important to shop where you live. You not only are feeding an artisans family but you are feeding their imagination ! With no customers I would not be able to continue my journey with glass. My family members can only have so much in their homes!

Also I have the dedication to each and every piece I sell to make sure it gets the equal amount of my time. Each item gets its own little gift box ready to give to that special someone you are buying for!

About Me

Christine

Glass artisan

I have lived in the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta for 40+ years and I still love it. I have been glassing for 20+ years. i worked happily with Spectrum glass for many years. In May  2016 our city had a massive fire making the entire city evacuate and so many lost their homes. In the following few days the Spectrum glass company announced they were shutting down.  It was then i recognized if my home was lost and my supplies were lost to the fire I probably would not glass again.

Fast forward to the summer months when the residents were allowed back to rebuild our lives it was the glass that gave me my therapy.  We were lucky to have not lost our home. I spent days on end smashing glass with a hammer and started to build ornaments. My happy place was staying on our street that was untouched by the fire called the beast.

At a convention in Vegas in April 2017 I learned about float glass from some glass gods and something changed. Once back in my city I found I was in the right place, at the right time, with the right tools and an idea!

I have the extreme happiness of being able to take the windows and door glass from the areas of the fire that were heavily affected and make something of them. I like to say I make lemonade from lemons. More clearly to my recycling heart I save the glass from the landfill and I get to see something beautiful come from something horrific.

Glass is resilient and so are we.
